What is the Everyday Champions program?
Everyday Champions is a national program to promote tennis and the daily consumption of milk and milk products as part of a healthy lifestyle. Tennis Canada and Dairy Farmers of Canada (DFC) have joined together for 3 years to launch the Everyday Champions program, one of whose goals is to talk to people in their communities and reward those who champion active lifestyles and everyday healthy eating.
How does the Everyday Champions program work?
Dairy Farmers of Canada and Tennis Canada will be present at some 75 tennis-related events across Canada over the next year—tournaments, championships, school events, family days, etc. Participants at these tournaments and friendly gatherings will be invited to take part in organized activities while also enjoying delicious milk-based snacks. A champion will be designated at each event to receive an award certificate for his or her overall community involvement and the values he or she defends.
Event organization kits will also be available to tennis clubs, community groups, and schools. The kits are packed full of tools and resources for adding fun and enjoyment to events.
In joining the program, Dairy Farmers of Canada has also become one of the lead sponsors of the Toronto and Montreal Rogers Cups. Rogers Cup attendees will be invited to visit the Every Day Action Zone to engage in a game of mini tennis, test the speed of their serve in the smash cage, enjoy a milk product, and even ask questions to the dietitians present onsite.
